Event Code of Conduct

Effective Date: August 31, 2026

At Business Networking Events, LLC ("Company," "we," "us"), we are dedicated to creating a professional, welcoming, and high-value environment for all Participants, Networkers, speakers, and hosts. This Event Code of Conduct applies to all virtual sessions, in-person mixers, pitch forums, and online directory interactions organized by or associated with businessnetworking.events. By registering for or attending any event we host, you agree to abide by these standards.

1. Professional & Respectful Engagement

  • Treat Everyone with Respect: Maintain a professional, courteous, and constructive tone in all interactions, chat windows, breakout rooms, and pitch sessions.
  • Zero Tolerance for Harassment: We strictly prohibit discrimination, hate speech, unwanted romantic advances, abusive language, intimidation, or personal attacks based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, religion, or age.
  • Constructive Pitching: Present your business, elevator pitch, and services authentically and professionally without disparaging competitors or making false claims.

2. Virtual Event Etiquette

  • Camera & Participation: For virtual networking events, we encourage keeping your camera on during breakout discussions and pitch rounds to foster genuine engagement, unless technical limitations apply.
  • Audio Courtesy: Keep your microphone muted when you are not actively speaking or presenting to minimize background noise.
  • Respect Time Limits: Adhere strictly to the allotted elevator pitch time limits assigned by the facilitator so all Participants receive equal screen time.

3. Anti-Spam & Direct Solicitation Rules

  • No Unsolicited Mass Prospecting: Do not use event chat features, directory access, or attendee lists to send unsolicited bulk sales messages, aggressive cold-DMs, or automated outreach to other Participants.
  • Permissible Outreach: One-on-one follow-ups after an event are encouraged, provided they are respectful and directly related to connections made during the session.

4. Enforcement & Removal Policy

Event hosts, moderators, and facilitators have sole discretion to enforce this Code of Conduct.

  • Immediate Removal: We reserve the right to immediately mute, remove, or ban any Participant from a live event — without warning, refund, or recourse — if they exhibit disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Account Revocation: Repeated or severe violations may result in the permanent cancellation of your Networker account and revocation of all directory privileges.
